Pictures speak louder than words! We have picked 26,000 pounds of white vinifera. This shot of a Riesling vine really shows the leaf-pulling that goes on before the grapes are picked. Ron has been up all night long for three crushes. He was so tired that he managed to reverse his truck into my driver side car door. Ouch.
The Roussanne fruit is beautiful. The Viognier is incredibly aromatic.

The Petit Verdot looks gorgeous.
Here's Dave Liggett's photo of the harvest crew for Roussanne! It was a picture perfect harvest day. Nancy, Josephine, Judy, Tracy, Jenny and Gretchen.
Meanwhile, back in the kitchen... I just took this lovely photo of our 2006 red wine releases! Also de-stemmed two buckets of gleaned Riesling grapes to make Riesling grape jelly.
We may pick cabernet franc as early as Friday October 10. Still to come, Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot.
